Our client is looking to recruit an experienced FABRIC TECH MANAGER to support the Sourcing office based in China
The ideal candidate will already have managerial experience and possibly worked in factories in previous roles or in their current position. The candidate will have good solid fabric development experience and strong all-round fabric manufacturing skills are essential as well as proven managerial skills.
Duties will include retrieving information from the company's customer facing team giving the potential products for development in China, execute the work required to prepare the product for China production whilst providing technical solutions for any discrepancies.
Work with all the raw material suppliers to reduce the risk of potential problems affecting the company's production and report supplier’s performance to the group to influence future supplier selection. This will be conducted by overviewing the technical submission process by reviewing test reports, performance rating and lab dye / Strike off approval. This will entail dealing directly with the customer and supplier and agreeing standards.
The candidate must be capable of auditing dyeing and finishing mills for environmental issues and keep account of OEKOTEX and customers environment polities on record.
Overview of factory fabric claim is also an essential part of the role.
The successful candidate will manage and train a team of fabric technologists and laboratory staff.
